Dear Friends,
So I thought I was long done blogging, but here we go again, one more look for you of my time in Namibia. I put this little video together for the presentations I have been doing, but thought I would put it here for anyone I have been unable to share with in person. I am indebted to my roommates Hannah and Candace who deserve credit for the pictures, beginning video clip and idea. They are much better photographers than I, and so graciously shared their photos with me. Many thanks must also be given to our wonderful Lord who cares even for the small details of our lives. It is truly only through His grace that my technology-challenged self was able to put this together. I hope you enjoy!
Heather... I think I just saw part of your heart... may He continue growing a passion inside of you!
ReplyDeleteLOVE THIS! You did such a great job!! I smiled at Kaita's faces. :) Thanks for taking me back to that special time. Love you!
ReplyDeleteHeather, We've never met, but your video brought back so many wonderful memories. I was in Namibia for only two short weeks and stayed in Windhoek with 12 other short-termers but I fell in love with the people and the country. My family and I will pray for you and ask that our Great God abundantly bless you and your ministry. Wayne Steinour
ReplyDeleteHey Heather.. this video has brought so much tears. Its so beautiful- you guys have made an impact in this children's lives and you have blessed us so much just to know that God loves every1 and not only those that are rich materially but we came to know that He loves us because He of who we are. We are really touched and you guys have left a legacy here in Namibia. We love you guys!!!! FHS NAMIBIA
ReplyDeleteHi Wayne!
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for writing. Namibia is without question an amazing country with truly incredible people. I'm so thankful for the opportunity, as I'm sure you are too, to have been able to see its beauty, experience its culture, and get to know some wonderful Namibian people. God is doing a great work in Namibia, and I am so grateful to have been able to witness His work in the lives of the children at FHS.
I am actually back in Canada now - a new mission field with very different challenges, and so your prayers are still very much appreciated! I too reflect on many wonderful memories of my time in Africa, and continue to pray for FHS and its students and staff. I think a part of my heart was left on that continent as I miss it greatly, but God's peace is a beautiful gift - our God is the Great Provider!
Please do greet your family for me, and thank you again for writing and for your prayers. I'm glad the video was a blessing to you.
~Heather
Hello Melanie,
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you! Your words are so very kind. God can do more than we can dare to ask or even imagine (Ephesians 3:20-21). He is worthy of praise and thanks.
I hope that you are doing very well and that you are learning to play that guitar from Hannah!!
Have you been at FHS lately? How is school for you?
We have a truly Awesome God Melanie, and just as you said, He does love us all. Just as His Word tell us in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." Try putting your name in place of the word 'world'. Yes, God loves YOU. He loves me. Pretty amazing when you think about it eh?
Sending you, and everyone at FHS my love all the way from Canada.
~Heather
Hello Heather
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, i have only come to read this now. I was amazed to just hear how much you really care and love us despite it all we are loved by God. I only go to FHS sometimes when u=i get a chance, school had been really pulling me down this year that i never got time to go interact with others back at FHS very often.
It is a long journey..but i am about to finish by end of this month, or rather before my big 22nd Birthday.
I am comitting most of my time to fhs next year. i'll be having enough money then for transport and enough time to meet the kids. It is almost a dream come true. its amazing!
how are things in Canada?
